The Young and the Restless spoilers documented Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) outing of Jordan’s (Darnell Kirkwood) background. He was a scammer in the past and now everyone in Genoa City and everywhere else knows all about it. That unnecessary outing caused Mr. Wilde to present images of Hilary in her birthday suit to the world.
Lily (Christel Khalil) was one of the people to receive a text alert with Hilary’s pics attached while she was seated at the GC Athletic Club’s bar. That was ironic, considering that Mrs. Ashby was the one who told Hilary that she put Jordan in the friend zone.
Hilary began seeking revenge the instant she realized that Jordan was only interested in getting back together with her because Lily was no longer a romantic option. Miss Curtis believes that she should never be anyone’s second choice, yet she was. Combine that with Devon’s (Bryton James) previous push-off and Hilary felt utterly alone and angry.
The ‘Hilary Hour’ host was the classic woman scorned, as has often been shown on soaps through the ages. She subsequently went live with a full-on expose about Jordan’s past. No one, except Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) knew it, but Jordan had previously conned lonely widows out of their fortunes. The aforementioned Mrs. Newman was also tagged in that hit piece.
Like Chelsea, Jordan’s reputation was damaged. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) told him that his photography services were no longer needed now that Brash and Sassy has been folded into Newman Enterprises. That meant he was out of a job and, based on Hilary’s purposeful story, was going to have a hard time finding work.
Jordan is a professional photographer. So, despite what he previously told Hilary, he did keep copies of the discrete photo shoot that took place between these then-significant others.
Oh, Devon previously warned Jordan to stay away from Hilary. Lily did as well. But Jordan didn’t listen to either person’s wise advice. Instead, he wanted to make up his own mind. Obviously, that’s happened.
Jordan likely thinks that he’s damaged Hilary’s career by exposing her in the altogether. But consider the business she’s in and the times she is living in. Will these images of a highly-attractive and well-known woman actually cause her to lose business, or damage her reputation?
Yes, Hilary allowed zesty photos to be taken. But that was done in a private setting and she never authorized their release to the public.
Y&R fans can easily see Hilary playing the victim card. She never intended on anyone but Jordan seeing her without Chelsea 2.0’s rags on. Yes, the revealed photos could actually work in her favor. Considering the commercial job that she gained this summer, beating out Lily along the way, it’s also possible that this exposure earns Hilary modeling gigs as well.
