The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that in new Y&R episodes this week of March 20 Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will use information about Glack to at least force a power-share at Jabot. As a result and despite his previous claims otherwise, Jack (Peter Bergman) will try to evict his sister from the family company entirely. Actually, the term half-sister should have been used in the last sentence because that’s how Ashley is actually related to John Abbott II.
John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) wasn’t Ashley’s biological father. Recent The Young and the Restless spoilers revealing that Marla Adams will reprise her role as Dina Mergeron starting May 3, 2017, means that Jack and Ashley have plenty of time to battle in Genoa City before their shared mother arrives. Adams hasn’t appeared on Y&R in nearly a decade. The ever-flighty Dina was last seen in Wisconsin in 2008.
Ashley will go wild when she learns about Jack’s unbelievable and still ongoing jaunts with Glori (Judith Chapman). The reality of that pairing will confirm Ashley’s suspicions that Jack was being blackmailed in some form by their ex-mother-in-law. The fact that Gloria’s leverage evolved into repeated horizontal positioning will go beyond mind-bending.
Gloria seems to not have lesson-planned her scheme entirely. Instead, she’s going with the flow. Apparently she believes that staying close to Jack, or possibly marrying him in the future, will enable her to gain a perceived rightful slice of her deceased husband’s corporate pie.
Jack’s business acumen has routinely been compromised by his ego and his libido through the years. But The Young and the Restless spoilers share that at this mature stage of their lives Ashley won’t be in any mood to tolerate her half-brother’s half-truths any longer.
Knowing that he’s been caught with his pants down, Jack will discard morality by challenging Ashley’s legal eligibility to run John Abbott’s company. Of course, his dad and possibly, the ghostly image of him won’t be pleased.
Douglas was last seen on-set in 2015, but the coming storyline seems like a prime time to have John appear again. It remains a shame that Y&R killed this character off in years past. The daily grind of churning out soap sausage creates far more mistake opportunities than a weekly broadcast show, which produces 20-plus episodes per year does.
At least John remains alive in Jack’s mind. Whether dad’s potential visits about the building storm will influence Jackie-boy to acknowledge he’s to blame for his own problems will be seen this spring 2017. Delicious drama and corporate mayhem should be in order during that time. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
