The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lily Needs To Fight For Cane – Lane Revival Within Reach

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Lane still has a chance to be restored. But Lily (Christel Khalil) must let Cane (Daniel Goddard) know how she feels and what she wants. Lane’s revival is within reach.

Cane believes that Lily has moved on. That’s why he’s adjusted his focus to caring for Sam.

In reality, Lily has come to terms with what happened to her marriage and family within the last year. Timing basically put her and her still-husband at different mental spots throughout much of 2017.

Lily offered Cane immense leeway after the full reveal of what took place in Tokyo, Japan, came to light. She was willing to overlook Juliet’s (Laur Allen) pregnancy because Cane appeared to have been caught in an unintended circumstance.

Divorce wasn’t a question early on, as Lily was preparing to help Cane raise his son with Juliet. But Cane’s bizarre behavior in Los Angeles led to him being blackmailed and foolishly using the twins school fund to pay off Jesse (Max Adler). That reveal proved to be too much for Lily to take, after which Cane was kicked out.

Allen’s character’s stunning death served to change Lily’s perspective once again. She saw her husband’s predicament and felt true compassion.

In recent weeks Lily has made overtures to Cane that he’s not picked up on. Sam’s fragile state commanded Mr. Ashby’s full focus, which is what Lily has been trying to focus on.

Hilary, of all people, has become Lane’s strongest advocate. She’s encouraged Lily to make her feelings known.

While it appears to observers that Miss Curtis has eyes for her former brother-in-law, he’s actually just become a friend. Hilary has shifted her gaze from the departed Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) back to Devon, which might soon become apparent to Lily.

Gaming this scenario out, Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) will play pivotal roles in providing ongoing opportunities for Lily to intersect with Cane. However, it is apparent that Lily is having some issues in relating to Sam, who is Cane’s first child that he’s had without her.

Cane’s career is back on track, thanks to Jill’s (Jess Walton) Chancellor Industries’ pre-Christmas position gift. That heavy responsibility, along with caring for Sam means that his wife will need to directly state her feelings when some one-on-one time with her husband can be had.

It’s been awhile in soap time since Mrs. Ashby put legal proceedings on hold. It’s possible that Cane could recognize that Lily hasn’t restarted the process since then.

But, if both sides can honestly share their feelings in the near future a Lane reunion will be in order. However, this opportunity probably won’t exist indefinitely. So Lily’s initiative in starting dialogue will be key.
