The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, January 30, tease that Sharon (Sharon Case), Paul (Doug Davidson) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will process everything that’s happened. Dylan (Steve Burton) returned and left just as quickly. Now his loved ones will have to find a way to move on.
Of course, protecting all parties involved is the priority here. Dylan entered the witness protection program, so he’s assuming a new identity and cutting off all contact with his family. Since they can’t reveal the truth, Paul will focus on creating a cover story. Unfortunately, the best one won’t be what Sharon and Nikki had in mind.
When Sharon realizes what Paul is leaning toward, she’ll be a little taken aback. Paul will basically want Sharon to say that she’s the reason Dylan left. A horrified Nikki will ask if Paul is sure about this. She’ll wonder if there’s a better alternative.
Paul will probably suggest that this is the most plausible excuse. After the Christian fiasco, no one would question Dylan’s decision to bail. Nikki may not like the idea of making Dylan look like he abandoned Sharon. She won’t think it’s fair to put Sharon through additional heartache either. Sharon isn’t Nikki’s favorite person, but she can tell that her daughter-in-law in extreme pain.
Nevertheless, Sharon will undoubtedly do whatever she must. She just wants to keep Dylan and her children safe. Sharon couldn’t care less about her reputation right now. Perhaps this story will elicit some sympathy from Nick (Joshua Morrow) down the road.
Speaking of Nick, he’ll emcee a party at The Underground on Monday. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Nick will fire up the crowd, which will include Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman). They’ll be out celebrating the great deal that Jack (Peter Bergman) was forced into.
At Jabot, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will try to get to the bottom of Jack’s motive. She might think that the agreement Jack reached wasn’t all that beneficial to him. Ashley will question her brother and she’ll get an interesting response. Jack will admit that this was more about Phyllis than Fenmore’s.
It seems Jack is still holding a grudge over Phyllis’ betrayal. Even if Lauren is done with Jack’s drama, Phyllis certainly won’t be. Jack could make her life miserable if he works hard enough.
