The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) will continue her ride on an emotional roller coaster. She was distraught when Dylan (Steve Burton) decided to take a dangerous undercover mission. Sharon begged her husband to stay home, but this was just something he had to do.
Dylan was struggling without “Sully” in his life. He needed to get away and focus on something else. Unfortunately, it looks like that was a horrible decision. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that a life-or-death situation is coming up on this week’s new episodes, January 23 through January 27.
While Dylan battles Fisk’s (Scott Speiser) thugs for his life, Sharon will worry about her recent actions. She tried to contact Dylan and now she fears that she’s blown his cover. Sharon will hate the idea of contributing to Dylan’s difficulties. If he ends up injured or dead, Sharon will face plenty of guilt.
Y&R spoilers reveal that Sharon’s heart will sink when she gets some shocking news. Dylan’s exit storyline will conclude this week, so it’s clear that Sharon will have to get by without him. No matter what happens to Dylan, he certainly won’t be in Genoa City anymore.
Sharon will be crumble once all of this plays out. She’ll feel like she sparked a terrible chain reaction. This goes back much further than the phone call. Sharon’s deception enraged Nick (Joshua Morrow) and caused him to cut her out of Christian’s life. That meant Dylan had to be kept at a distance, too.
Of course, Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) put the plot in motion. Sharon didn’t steal the baby, but she definitely kept him longer than she should have. If Sharon had come forward immediately, Nick might have been sympathetic. He probably would’ve let them be more involved in Christian’s life.
Who knows? Sage (Kelly Sullivan) might even be alive if Sharon hadn’t hesitated on her confession. It still would’ve been hard for Dylan to give “Sully” up, but Sharon’s honesty might’ve made a difference. Dylan could’ve leaned on his wife instead of using a perilous assignment to cope.
Then again, we can’t say for sure that Dylan wouldn’t have been just as crushed. He loves that little boy so much and maybe his dark fate was inevitable. Regardless, Sharon will have to put the past behind her eventually.
