The Young and the Restless spoilers documented Scott’s (Daniel Hall) draw to Abby (Melissa Ordway) and vice versa in recent months. As that happened Sharon (Sharon Case) fans wondered when Shott’s day of reckoning would arrive and if that couple would survive when it did. But would it be best for Scott if he stayed with Sharon, or went to Abby?
All who mentally knee-jerk about this feature’s query must be stunted with the facts. Yes, the question asks if Scott should choose to be with either woman. It’s realized that Sharon and Abby also have a choice to make. Don’t overreact, or claim to on purpose.
So why is this male character seemingly given the option? Well, which two characters have deeply erratic histories with their partners? Oh yes, Sharon and Abby.
For all who’ve remained calm, due to their inherent common sense, it’s time to read on. The soapy lives of Sharon and Abby will now be partially explored, as there’s only so much digital space.
Sharon was a strong woman for many years. Then she was written off the rails by a series of back office Y&R decision-makers who chose to portray Case’s character as a dangerous kook.
In more recent years Sharon allowed Nick (Joshua Morrow) to believe that his son was dead. She did that while lying to her husband Dylan (Steve Burton), a veteran who’d suffered from PTSD. Shylan lived as though Sully (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) was their child, when he was actually Christian all along.
In the past Sharon also married various other men for varying purposes. One of those chaps included Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She burned down his home at one point as well and also became a kleptomaniac.
Now, onto Abby. She repeatedly stripped naked in order to gain fame during an extended bratty period. Abby ripped off Lady Godiva in those embarrassing instances.
More recently, Abby became involved with Austin (Matthew Atkinson) who was a twisted soul bent on revenge. She also ditched her husband Stitch (Sean Carrigan) for no apparent reason, claiming not to love the man who arguably actually represented her first serious adult relationship. Then, of course, she later became enchanted with Zack (Ryan Ashton) who was exposed as the head of a sex ring.
Scott worked as an investigative journalist during the period of time his character was written out of Genoa City. He aided the government in bringing the bad guys and gals to justice.
Hall’s character has been pursuing the sex trafficking story for months. The head of Hashtag demonstrated great courage by going undercover and in directly confronting Zack.
This call becomes hard when the backstories of Sharon and Abby are considered. Sharon has gotten her life back on track, due in part to her pairing with Scott. Abby has matured, but that growth has only taken place within the last year.
Sharon appears to be the better choice, but Abby does have potential. Then again, maybe Scott should remain solely committed to his work? Who do you think Scott should choose to be with?
