The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Team Victor or Team Nick – Who Is The Better Man?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that father and son are fighting again. Yes, Nick (Joshua Morrow) is disgusted by Victor (Eric Braeden), who has renounced his paternity ties once again.

Victor followed a right cross to the left side of Nick’s face by telling him that he was no longer his son. The ghost of Adam (Justin Hartley) could have easily related to that sentiment. But, of course that character’s not dead. More to follow on that point later.

Nick couldn’t stand that Victor was forcing his mother to play what he perceived to be a circus clown. Of course that wasn’t reality, but Nick refused to accept the truth or stay out of a matter than didn’t involve him.

Yes, it was true that Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) Multiple Sclerosis had flared up. She was in pain in the weeks proceeding her performance and truly had to gut through showtime in order to deliver a beautiful outcome.

However, Nikki decided along the way to accept Victor’s challenge. And, of equal importance, when the one-song piano recital was completed she and her soul mate reconciled. The warmth evidenced between them was real and likely was going to lead to a full emotional reunion. That’s when Nick’s emotions butted in and ruined everything.

It was one thing for Nick to fantasize about stopping his mother’s concert. But to actually damage the sound board at the venue proved deeply disappointing.

When Victor gets angry other people suffer eventual consequences. And thus the potential turn back to the unresolved Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity matter.

Nick doesn’t know that Christian is Adam’s offspring. Adam knew that fact before he was supposedly killed by Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Victor were also in the know. The Moustache’s awareness of this explosive point (pun intended) remains a problem.

Victor previously wanted to protect Nick’s feelings. Now he wants to teach him a lesson. What better way to do so then to somehow expose the truth about Christian?

Co-executive producer and head writer Sally Sussman advised upon her entrance to Y&R late last year that the Christian issue wouldn’t be revisited until Nick needed to know. Well, Victor now likely thinks he does. And with that, the path to Adam’s return can logically be written.

At the same time, Nick is withholding information from Chelsea about his father’s involvement in Adam’s death via Chloe. What will Adam’s widow think of both men when that shock is applied? Weighing all issues, it’s hard to choose a better man. Maybe the question should be – Who’s worse? CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
