The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thad Luckinbill Talks Y&R Comeback Details – J.T. and Reed’s Issues – Victoria’s Future

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbell) return will come with some tricky situations and teen drama. Now that this character of the past has become a major player in the present, many Y&R fans are curious about his comeback stint. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Luckinbell talked about how J.T.’s return happened and offered some hints on what to expect.

When Y&R first announced that Luckinbell was headed back to the CBS soap, most viewers were surprised. After Luckinbell left the show, he achieved success as a film producer. For example, Luckinbell was an executive producer on La La Land. The film was a huge hit with critics and audiences. He also stepped in front of the camera with roles in Only the Brave and the upcoming 12 Strong.

Nevertheless, Luckinbell had always kept in touch with everyone at The Young and the Restless. There had been comeback conversations for a long time, but there was never enough time in Luckinbill’s schedule. Fortunately, a window eventually opened up and Luckinbill decided they could work this out.

“It just happened to coordinate with my schedule in between films,” Luckinbill said. “And after talking for quite a while about it, it sounded like fun, so here I am.” Luckinbell suggested that it was a blast to be on the Y&R set again. He missed the fast-paced, demanding experience of shooting a soap.

“I really, really love being back there and being able to act every day,” Luckinbill said. “It’s a lot of volume. You’re throwing a lot out there, doing a lot of scenes in a day.” Luckinbill noted that he appreciates the challenges of the soap world. He finds the whole thing “pretty fun.”

Luckinbill will be in numerous scenes with his ex-wife, Amelia Heinle (Victoria), as well as other familiar faces. He was happy to feel like part of the Y&R family again. The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that we’ll see a different version of J.T. this time around. Luckinbill pointed out that J.T.’s more mature, so he’s been drawing from his own life experience to give the character some layers.

It looks like some deep issues will surface between J.T. and Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu). The Young and the Restless fans can expect some tension, but they should be able to reach an understanding sooner or later. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
