The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Thanksgiving is coming up and you know what that means. Drama will be on the menu in Genoa City! Naturally, all eyes will be on the Newman clan and the Abbott family. These are the important gatherings that the show always has to highlight.
However, tension and secrets could cause more problems than usual this year. Let’s start with the Newmans. Y&R fans know that Victor (Eric Braeden) is still at odds with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). Victor kicked Nick off the ranch and Nikki is refusing to come back. He doesn’t have much use for either of them when they stand against him.
Nick and Nikki won’t be welcome at the family’s Thanksgiving dinner, but that won’t stop them from showing up anyway. The Young and the Restless spoilers say they’ll crash the big event and Victor will unleash his wrath. Of course, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) might step up to settle the conflict. She’s been growing closer to Victor again, so she might persuade him to sit down and shut up.
A Thanksgiving truce certainly wouldn’t kill Victor. He needs to suck it up so his grandkids can have a decent holiday. We’ll see if Victor can calm his temper and let his family enjoy a meal in peace. The Abbotts will face a different, but equally tricky situation. Dina’s (Marla Adams) issues will lead to some awkward moments around the dinner table.
Between now and Thanksgiving, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will learn something shocking about Dina. They may find out that Dina has Alzheimer’s or this could be about her role in The Underground fire. Those secrets could even come as a package deal since they are related in a cause and effect sort of way.
Whatever the case, Ashley and Jack will decide to leave the rest of the family out of the loop for now. Hiding something so huge will be tough at this intimate gathering. Ash and Jack will struggle to make small talk as they carry the weight of their knowledge.
Dina has been having more and more outbursts lately. Will she have another one at Thanksgiving? No one would be surprised if she managed to expose everything herself. Dina hasn’t been thinking clearly since her stroke.
