The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers address a topic every fan has been thinking about – should Billy and Victoria get back together? Y&R always had some of the best couples – those who endure trials and tribulations yet always end up together in a sort of happily ever after – or at least as much as a soap can have.
That is a key ingredient for a winning soap, power couple longevity. At the top of that list are Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) – Team Villy. These two could not stand each other when they first met – isn’t that how it always is? They have been married and divorced multiple times but always end back up in each other’s arms.
Billy Abbot is a grown man who still acts like a frat boy & playboy he can be very irresponsible and yet very charming in a boyish way. Victoria Newman is a female mini version of Victor Newman which is the complete opposite of Billy Abbott and in soap world = perfect soap couple drama.
Billy brings the excitement into Victoria’s life she needs because most of the time her life is pretty boring. Yes, she has 3 kids – 2 with Billy Boy and one with J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) – and a business empire. But Victoria never finds time for her personal life which is also one of the reasons she loses at love so often – the other reason is her father also known as The Moustache. Most viewers will remember when Victor had Victoria arrested at her and Billy’s wedding the two ended up marrying despite Victor’s efforts!
Victoria has stood by Billy through his gambling and booze addictions, cheating and the worst time in his life when his daughter Delia (Sophie Pollono) was killed by a car driven by Adam Newman (Justin Hartley). Billy fell back into his bad habits while grieving.
It was during that time that Billy could not cope and ended up doing what Billy does best – falling into bed with someone other than his wife thus causing yet another Villy divorce.
Through it, all Billy and Victoria ALWAYS love each other they just cannot stand each other half of the time!
Victoria is more like a mother to him rather than a wife which is why Billy and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) ended up together. Phyllis made Billy feel needed & manly because her own life was out of control he stepped in and became her hero – which is something controlling Victoria would never allow Billy to do, be her hero.
This last breakup with Villy showed Victoria how much she does love Billy and needs him because, in the end, everyone wants to be needed right? Billy has uncovered who is behind trying to take down Brash & Sassy which is Victoria’s “baby” and it is all starting to point that his current love interest and Victoria’s nemesis Phyllis Abbott knew all about the takedown.
Victoria and Billy have teamed up getting closer every day causing a huge rift between Billy and Phyllis.
