The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) health scare will help to ease tensions with her father. While Victor (Eric Braeden) recently lost the respect of his daughter, he will be by her side when she’s hospitalized as the result of an alcohol-related fall.

Crisis brings many families together, even dysfunctional ones. Yes, pressing concern doesn’t always translate into permanent reconciliation. But Vickie will feels her father’s love and will be willing to put recent events aside for the time being.

One a scale of one to three, with one being the most intense rage, Nick (Joshua Morrow) bests his mom and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) beats Victoria, when it comes to being disgusted with Victor. Nick’s digging uncovered the Newman patriarch’s detestable actions where Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was concerned.

After Nick discovered that Victor recruited Chloe to help him frame Adam (Justin Hartley) he ran to his mom and bad-mouthed the Black Knight. Victoria was present for that three-party summit, after which Nikki decided that they all needed to freeze Victor out for good. The trio has stuck to that plan to-date.

Through it all, Nikki has expressed her ongoing love for the Moustache. Nick seems to genuinely hate the sight of his dad’s face. But Vickie is a different person. She doesn’t like that her dad’s actions were indirectly linked to Adam’s death, but hasn’t been nearly as nasty toward her father as Nick and Nikki have been.

She’s been Victor’s reigning favorite child for years. Victor has often entrusted Vickie to run his company and hasn’t been back-stabbed by her nearly as often as either Nick, or Nikki. So, a genuine soft spot still exists within Victor’s seemingly black heart for his first-born child.

Victor’s second-born daughter Abby (Melissa Ordway) created a time-delayed problem when she threw a drink in her sister’s face at the Top of the Tower party that was held after Nikki’s concert. Abby had grown tired of Vickie’s condescending attitude, lost her temper and impulsively three a glass of alcohol in Vickie’s face at close range.

Vickie was caught off-guard, fell backwards and hit her head. She seemed to be alright at the time, but developed disorientation issues the next day. This was evidenced through muffled conversations and blurred vision.

Resultant need for medical attention will create the opportunity for Vickie and Victor to talk things out, to a degree. The rapidity of her recovery will determine if either side can make enough progress and create a full reunion of hearts, or the status quo will persist. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
