The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) likely won’t become Mrs. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), again, after the Thanksgiving week blow-off. Attacking Dina (Marla Adams) did more than anger Jack, it made him recognize his priorities. Meanwhile The Moustache hasn’t changed one bit, but Victor (Eric Braeden) is still and will surely always be the man Nikki loves the most.
As Y&R fans recall, Nikki left Victor for the approximate fourteenth time since the 1980’s because she learned about his involvement with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). The numerical reference hasn’t been checked for accuracy and is just a soapy guesstimate. However, the claim likely isn’t that far off from the soapy truth.
Hardcore fans felt, correctly, that Y&R’s then-current writing team was inventing a reason for Niktor to split earlier this year. The duo’s break hasn’t been complete, as no divorce proceedings have been requested. So the implied plot point was that Nikki and Victor would reconcile and do so sooner rather than later. Mal Young’s staff is currently crafting their comeback, or fans of this pair are likely hoping.
Victor hasn’t had time to look in another woman’s direction since Nikki left the Ranch. Instead, he’s focused on attacking his son. Nick (Joshua Morrow) discovered and then revealed that his dad worked with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) against Adam (Justin Hartley). That bizarre scheme inadvertently led to Adam’s apparent death.
The head of Newman Enterprises is dealing with an unexpected business mess as November ends. Design Date, the incubator company that Abby (Melissa Ordway) promoted, proved to be a front for a sex ring. Victor’s assets are currently frozen as a result, all of which did nothing to improve his demeanor toward Nikki.
The last sentence hit upon something longtime Niktor fans know. Newman Enterprises has almost always captured Victor’s attention. Nikki often came second to whatever real, exaggerated or imagined crisis her husband was handling. The effects naturally wore on her through the years.
But despite all that happened in ancient history, or since the summer, Nikki has never stopped loving Victor. The same is true for the man for Victor where his true feelings for Nikki are concerned.
Victor has often needed time to convince himself that Nikki has been taught a good enough lesson. After a period of time has passed, he generally decides to look past whatever perceived wrongs she’s committed.
Of course, the revelation regarding Victor’s actions sparked upheaval in this instance. But that fact was shouted over by Mr. Newman long ago, thus partially creating the pair’s current stalemate, as Nikki hasn’t pushed for a reunion yet.
Either side could make the first move, thus sparking Niktor’s latest revival. Then again, life’s circumstances or a family matter could also serve as an impetus toward reconciliation. With however it happens, both parties should be reunited by early next year at the latest. Newman Enterprises should be back on track by then, thus greasing Victor’s heart.
