This upcoming season of Celebrity Big Brother US is a hotly anticipated one, but it will also be a drastically different one compared to past seasons. We’ve got everything that you need to know about CBBUS ahead of the show’s premiere.
The 11 houseguests reportedly moved into the Big Brother House last week. The cast includes Omarosa Manigault, Brandi Glanville, Shannon Elizabeth, Ariadna Gutierrez, Metta World Peace, Ross Matthews, James Maslow, Marissa Jaret Winkour, Chuck Liddell, Mark McGrath and Keshia Knight Pulliam.
Previous reports had indicated that CBS was looking to cast YouTube and social media stars, brand influencers and “everything in between,” but that didn’t happen. Instead, viewers will be tuning in to see reality television star veterans who have competed on shows such as The Apprentice, The Real Housewives franchise, and of course the British version of Big Brother. In other words, many of the housemates will be competing with a game plan in mind.
Luckily, CBBUS fans will be able to tune in to live feeds 24 hours a day. Repots also say that there will be a Celebrity Big Brother US “after dark” program on Pop TV available for those wanting to tune in after the sun goes down. What’s more, this season will be a condensed one compared to previous seasons. Also, the season will only be airing for 18 days and will air during the same time as the Winter Olympics on rival network NBC. Also, 13 episodes will be airing 5 nights a week.
In addition, the Big Brother house has an all-new interior. Some of the features inside of the house have changed, too. Every housemate will be getting his or her own individual bed. Both the dining room table and the kitchen island are square, giving the house a more sophisticated sense of style with dark woods and polished gold finishes. There’s also a cohesive theme in the living room, dining room and the kitchen. Fans have also gotten a sneak peak of the new LA skyline mural that has been set up behind the windows.
For those wanting CBBUS all access, they can subscribe to the CBS network all-access subscription for $5.99 a month. Celebrity Big Brother kicks off on Wednesday, February 7 at 8pm EST on the CBS network. The finale is expected to air on Sunday, February 25 at 8pm.
