Celebrity Big Brother US spoilers indicate that the upcoming season will have plenty of actors and athletes, according to show host Julie Chen. Past reports have indicated that CBS execs were having a hard time trying to find celebrities and entertainers that were willing to join the show. But Julie Chen insists that’s not the case at all. As a matter of fact, she recently said that viewers will be surprised to find out that there will be plenty of household names from both the entertainment and sports worlds joining the cast.
In a new promo clip, Julie says that the cast will consist of “actors to athletes and everything in between.” Of course, producers of Celebrity Big Brother US are yet to reveal who is going to make this season’s final cut. Previous reports have hinted though that Hollywood stars like Lindsay Lohan, Gary Busey, NFL star Dennis Rodman and even Blac Chyna might be joining the show.
Other possibilities include comedian and host Ross Matthews, Dog the Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman, Hollywood actress Mackenzie Phillips, actor Bobby Moynihan, comedienne Margaret Cho and reality television show veteran Mark Long. Seeing how popular the Celebrity Big Brother series has been across the pond in Britain, CBS execs are hoping that the show will be a ratings win Stateside, too. Fans will just have to tune in to find out what’s in store! Reality stars Stephanie Pratt and Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola from The Jersey Shore fame have also expressed interest in joining the show.
Considering that Celebrity Big Brother US will air during the Winter Olympics, many fans believe there’s a strong possibility that former ice skating champ Tonya Harding will join the show. It’s without a doubt that Harding would be one of the biggest names and athletes to join the lineup.
In addition, producers have also hinted that they are looking to cast non-traditional celebrities like YouTube and social media stars along with brand influencers and models, some who have much bigger followings than most celebrities. The official CBBUS lineup will be revealed after the Grammy Awards on January 28.
Celebrity Big Brother US kicks off on Wednesday, February 7 at 8pm EST on the CBS network. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news, updates and spoilers on Celebrity Big Brother US and all of your favorite primetime television shows right here!
