Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a special delivery will cause a whole lot of trouble! Just before Nicole (Arianne Zucker) was left presumed dead in that warehouse explosion, she made her dying wish to Eric (Greg Vaughan). Nicole pushed her true love to look after Holly for her.
Even before that, Nicole had suggested that Eric raise Holly as his own. She was feeling smothered by the Xander (Paul Telfer) mess and thought Holly might be better off with Eric. He convinced her they all could have a future as a family, but that obviously didn’t pan out.
However, Eric will hope to fulfill Nicole’s final request and give Holly the best life he can. That’s why he’ll be thrown for a loop when a letter arrives with some conflicting wishes. Days spoilers hint that Nicole had another plan before she made amends with Eric. Back then, she wanted someone else to have guardianship of Holly if she passed away.
DOOL fans will recall that Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) was the surrogate who gave birth to Holly. She even tried to keep the baby and sparked a major custody battle. Chloe eventually made peace with Nicole raising her own child, but she’ll be delighted over this second shot. She’ll believe she’s the right person to care for Holly and this letter will back her up.
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) may throw her support behind Chloe sooner or later. She might think Daniel’s (Shawn Christian) daughter needs to be raised alongside her brother, Parker (Christian Ganiere). Letting Chloe raise them both would allow the siblings to bond.
Brady (Eric Martsolf), who has Daniel’s heart and considers Chloe a dear friend, may think that’s a good idea, too. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Brady and Chloe will grow much closer in the coming weeks. This could be what strengthens their connection. Unfortunately, it should also widen the rift between Brady and Eric.
On December 14, Eric will corner Brady and Chloe. He’ll explode over the letter and Chloe’s attempt to hijack his custody mission. Eric will insist that Nicole changed her mind, but Chloe may point out that it’s not in writing. Nicole’s letter will be right there in front of them, so why should a judge or anyone else take Eric’s word for it?
Luckily, things should turn around for Eric. Days of Our Lives spoilers say this custody battle won’t drag on and on. It’ll be over pretty quickly, so maybe Chloe will relent. She might turn down the chance to raise Holly and step aside for Eric’s sake. He’s grieving and really needs Holly to keep his bond with Nicole alive.
