Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) are in for some difficult times ahead. Abigail finally broke free from her “alter” personalities and came back to Chad, and after a tender reunion, the couple is now facing some stark realities that they’ll have to deal with going forward.
Now that Abigail has scored a plea deal for killing Andre (Thaao Penghlis) in self-defense, the most pressing concern for Chabby is what Abigail did while she was acting as her alters. “Gabby” and “Dr. Laura” wrecked serious havoc on many lives, and Chabby won’t be able to just push it under the rug and go right back to their happy life. After all, Chad found Abigail (as Gabby) in bed with Stefan (Tyler Christopher), and he remains traumatized by the memory of that scene.
Chad’s bound to be asking himself a lot of questions about the incident. He probably blames himself for not realizing that something was seriously wrong with Abigail sooner. And while it’s clear that it wasn’t really Abigail who consented to Stefan, Chad’s probably wondering whether a subconscious part of Abigail really wanted to do the things she did as Gabby. That’s got to be eating at Chad.
And the situation will get even worse if Abigail winds up pregnant, which is a distinct possibility. We could be looking at a “who’s the father” situation between Chad and Stefan, which would be hard enough. But if the baby ends up being Stefan’s, it would be a constant reminder of the Gabby/Stefan incident for both Chad and Abigail and could lead to a nasty custody battle with Stefan down the road. Ugh.
A further complication is that Kate Mansi is coming back as Abigail and Marci Miller is no longer filming. Whether Abigail’s pregnant or not, Chad’s going to have to work through his issues related to what Gabby did. Right now, everyone’s focused on Abigail’s mental health, and for good reason, but Chad’s going to have a lot to deal with as well as this couple moves forward. He needs to take care of himself.
