Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gabi’s (Camila Banus) devious plan to get revenge on Abigail (Marci Miller) and Stefan (Tyler Christopher) will really heat up in the coming days. Gabi has gotten quite bold in her actions and has drugged Abigail, sent a text from “Gabby” to Stefan, and hid a black Gabby wig in Abigail’s bedroom. All of this has Chad (Billy Flynn) very concerned.
And Gabi’s been working on Chad, too. She’s floated the idea of committing Abigail to him, with the ultimate goal being to have Abigail’s baby born while she’s in the sanitarium so the baby goes to Stefan. Chad isn’t convinced yet that commitment is the answer, but it looks like that will change soon enough.
Days spoilers say that Gabi will drug Abigail yet again and make it look like Abigail has turned violent. Gabi figures that if Abigail is seen as a threat to herself and others, then Chad will surely decide to have her committed. So, Gabi will arrange it so that it looks like Abigail hit her over the head and ended up at the DiMera mansion dressed as Gabby.
But even after all of this, Chad won’t be immediately convinced that Abigail needs to be committed. Perhaps he will hold out hope that outpatient therapy with Marlena (Deidre Hall) or another psychiatrist can help Abigail without going to the extremes of having her committed to a sanitarium. But he’ll certainly be distressed enough by Abigail’s actions to seriously consider commitment as an option, and of course Gabi will push the idea.
Eventually Abigail (probably thanks to Gabi) will get wind of the fact that Chad wants to have her committed. And Days spoilers say that when she does, she’ll turn to an unlikely ally for help. But who will she turn to? Well, there’s one person who would probably stand by Abigail’s side and help keep her out of a sanitarium if he thought there was something in it for him…Stefan.
Actually, Stefan would probably be quite motivated to help Abigail, because it would serve several ends for him. First, it would get him closer to Gabby, who he believes is desperately trying to emerge as Abigail’s dominant personality. Second, it would get him closer to the baby that he believes is his. And third, he knows that by helping Abigail he’d be hurting Chad, which he loves to do.
Abigail might just turn to Stefan as a last resort for protection. She could take shelter at the DiMera mansion and be away from Chad and Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) prying questions and concerns. And coincidentally, she’d probably also protected from Gabi’s devious manipulations as well, which could put big wrinkle in Gabi’s plan.
Of course, a big problem with seeking help from Stefan would be that it wouldn’t help Abigail with her goal of eventually reconciling with Chad. Chad would be horrified that Abigail sought out Stefan’s help and protection. But that might be a risk Abigail has to take to avoid going back to the sanitarium.
