ays of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eric (Greg Vaughan) could have a new love interest headed his way. An audition taped was recently leaked on Vimeo and it offers some interesting clues. The character’s name is “Megan,” but that could be changed by the time she hits the air. The same goes for the details of this character’s backstory.
Still, the current script gives us a good idea of what’s in the works. Before we go any further, let’s talk about who’s in this video. Dahlia Salem is hoping to lock down a DOOL role and she’s got the perfect last name for it! If you’re a fan of General Hospital, you might know Salem from her time in Port Charles. She played Claire Walsh from 2010-2011.
Back in the late ‘90s, Salem also starred on Another World as Sofia Carlino. It sounds like her soap experience could come in handy if she scores this part. Salem has also popped up on shows like Criminal Minds and NCIS. She seems like a versatile actress, but you just never know what Days might be looking for. They have to go with the person who’s the best fit, so we’ll see how it goes!
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Megan (or whatever her name ends up being) will hit it off with Eric. In the clip, Megan drinks and rants about her fiancé getting her bestie pregnant. She admits she left own engagement party after he called with the news.
Megan gets a bit testy at certain points in the video, which is understandable. Her cheating fiancé’s to blame! Nevertheless, Eric eventually calms Megan and suggests that he went through a similar ordeal. He talks about how the woman he loved said it couldn’t work and left town.
It’s possible that Days intended to cast someone soon after Nicole (Arianne Zucker) left. Their plans may have been delayed when they put Eric and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) together. If the plan is now moving forward, it makes sense that the show would just use the same script. Why bother changing things when this isn’t the final version anyway?
Whatever the case, Megan and Eric exchange introductions by the end of the tape. It appears to set up a romance between the two of them. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jennifer and Eric are on solid ground at the moment, but it can’t last forever. They sort of seem like a “Days doesn’t know what else to do, so pair them up” couple. Eric and Jen probably aren’t meant to be long-term.
