Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that John (Drake Hogestyn) and Belle (Martha Madison) will face some stunning conflict. Families usually come together when a loved one’s knocking on death’s door. However, the circumstances are a bit unusual here.
Sami was drugged when she inadvertently shot Marlena (Deidre Hall), but Belle still holds her sister responsible. It actually happened because Eric (Greg Vaughan) lunged for the gun, but Days seems to be ignoring that for the most part. Sami’s easier to blame than her saintly brother!
Nevertheless, Belle’s issues with Sami are to be expected. These two have always had a complicated relationship, so there’s no reason for that to change. The real shocker will be Belle and John’s looming battle. It’ll involve Marlena’s final wishes should things get too dire.
Despite initial improvements, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Marlena’s health will decline. She’ll once again be on the verge of death next week. After Belle whips out the living will she found, John will be stunned. He won’t agree with what Marlena wanted, which was for no heroic measures to be taken in an especially grim situation.
It sounds like the doctors won’t have much hope for Marlena’s recovery. She could be facing a long-term coma, so Belle may argue that they have to let her slip away. Naturally, John will fight Belle on this. He’ll believe Marlena can still come back from this awful ordeal. The alternative will just be too tough for John to imagine.
Since John and Marlena didn’t actually tie the knot, he won’t have much say in what happens. Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Belle will remain in the driver’s seat. It appears the final call will be hers and hers alone.
By the end of next week, Marlena’s friends and family members will gather around her. They’ll be prepared to bid Marlena farewell and let her pass on. John will make a last-ditch effort to prevent Marlena’s demise, but he may exhaust all legal and medical options. He’ll probably just have to pray for a DOOL miracle. Of course, this is the perfect opportunity for John to get one!
