Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) will remain worried for Steve (Stephen Nichols). He was arrested for espionage off screen, so Roman’s (Josh Taylor) stepping up to help. Kayla came clean about her deal with Stefan (Tyler Christopher) and her fears that he’s behind the charges. She feels like it must be some sort of set up, but is that true?
Stefan is certainly nasty enough to make Steve and Kayla suffer like this. However, it would also mean taking a bit of a gamble. We can’t forget that Stefan needs Kayla’s cooperation. She handed over Abigail’s (Marci Miller) medical records, but Stefan will need updates on any future tests and ultrasounds. He can’t get those unless Kayla provides them.
Of course, Stefan can still turn off the lights for Steve at any moment. He may have thought that was enough leverage. Stefan could’ve set a trap for kicks, but there’s also a chance it was just dumb miscommunication. Steve had no idea his bionic eye was making him an inadvertent spy. Maybe he should’ve used that eye to read the fine print!
Regardless, Kayla will continue to seethe. She’ll be convinced that Stefan’s the source of Steve’s current problems. Despite her own guilt, Kayla will focus on Stefan’s role in all this. She’ll be determined to take him down.
Fortunately, Kayla will have plenty of assistance. Days of Our Lives spoilers state that John (Drake Hogestyn), Roman and Kayla will join forces. They’ll come together as a team to form a plan and help Steve. John should definitely feel guilty, too. After all, it was his poison that cost Steve his eyesight and set this DOOL mess in motion. John was backed into a corner, but he should’ve found another way.
Since John can’t turn back the clock, he’ll want to pitch in now. This plot will kick off during the week of September 17-21, so the Marlena (Deidre Hall) drama may be dying down by then. That’ll free up some time for John to concentrate on his buddy.
Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Stefan’s destruction could be part of the plan. They’ll hope to clear Steve’s name as well, but it seems their efforts will fail. Nichols still hasn’t returned to the show, so Steve will likely remain behind bars for the foreseeable future.
