Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lucas (Brian Dattilo) is going to be in for a huge disappointment. It took him a while, but he finally accepted that Baby Bonnie was his daughter with Bonnie (Judi Evans), thanks to the paternity test results. Lucas is now bonding with the baby and getting ready for months of diaper duty. He’s even considering filing for sole custody on the grounds that Bonnie is a bad influence and career criminal.
But now Mimi (Farah Fath) has popped back up on the scene, and it turns out that Baby Bonnie is her baby, and not Bonnie’s. Mimi agreed to go along with Bonnie’s plan and allow Lucas to think that the baby was the product of Lucas and Bonnie’s one-night stand in order to keep Bonnie from going back to jail.
But now the plan has spiraled out of control and Lucas wants to (and did) take the baby away from Bonnie. It’s a real mess for Mimi. Mimi’s going to be scrambling in the coming days to get her mother to resolve the whole mess so she can have her baby back.
And then there’s another aspect of this story that needs to be addressed, and that’s Baby Bonnie’s actual father. So far, Mimi hasn’t let viewers in on who the dad is, but he must be closely related to Lucas, since the paternity results came back positive for Lucas being the baby’s father.
There’s one glaring possibility as to who the dad may be, and that’s none other than Rex (Kyle Lowder), who will be bursting onto the Salem scene shortly. Rex is the son of Roman (Josh Taylor) and Kate (Lauren Koslow), so that makes Rex and Lucas half-brothers. It’s certainly a close enough genetic connection to fool a paternity test.
Rex and Mimi were involved many years ago, but had a major falling out. However, it’s entirely possible that they reconnected last year and conceived Baby Bonnie. Since Rex will be coming back to Salem, it’s possible that he’ll be looking for Mimi and his daughter…that is, if he knows about his daughter.
Days spoilers indicate that Mimi will soon share a secret about Rex, so it sure looks like Rex will be revealed as Mimi’s baby daddy. And that means that Lucas will be crushed, and everyone will be mad at Bonnie and Mimi for perpetrating another scam together. What a way for Mimi to return to Salem!
