Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Abe (James Reynolds) is in for some difficult times ahead. He was skeptical when Valerie (Vanessa Williams) told him that she wanted to take the Chief of Staff position in Washington DC, because he knows that long-distance relationships can be tough to make work. But he decided to support Valerie’s career and do his best to make it work.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like things will go well for the couple. Days spoilers say that Abe’s pre-Christmas visit with Valerie in DC won’t be a good one. Abe will reveal to Sheila (Tionne Watkins) that the visit was a total bust. We’ll see if Abe sheds more light on what goes wrong during the visit, but this might indicate a breakup or near-breakup.
This isn’t going to put Abe in good spirits for the Christmas holiday. It looks like he’ll struggle to get through the Christmas children’s party at the hospital with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Sheila. If he and Valerie broke up or are on the verge of a breakup, it will be hard for him put on a happy face and pretend like he’s happy about the holidays.
Sheila will be sympathetic to Abe’s plight, though, and she’ll do her best to cheer him up. Sheila just scored some quick cash for marrying Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Sonny (Freddie Smith), and she just might decide to spring for something special for her new boss. Days spoilers say that she’ll present Abe with an unexpected gift. Might it be a new pair of shoes to make up for the ones she vomited on?
At any rate, this holiday season Abe will be wishing for time with Valerie but actually getting time with Sheila. It looks like the mayor and his assistant will do some bonding. One wonders how long it will be before sparks start to fly between these two.
