Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Steve (Stephen Nichols) is headed for a startling revelation. He’s been sensing that Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is keeping something from him, but he has no idea what. He just knows that Kayla’s not one for lies and secrets, so he figures that she must be in real trouble to keep something from him.
Of course, viewers know that Kayla is indeed in trouble. Stefan (Tyler Christopher) is blackmailing her by threatening to turn off Steve’s bionic eye if she doesn’t continue to comply with his wishes. First, it was spying on Kate (Lauren Koslow), and now Stefan’s got Kayla illegally sharing Abigail’s (Marci Miller) confidential medical records with him. It’s a real mess.
Kayla’s afraid that if she tells Steve what Stefan’s doing, Steve will lose his eyesight, but she’s also worried about losing Steve’s respect and trust. Her marriage could be on the line if Steve finds out the truth. Nevertheless, Kayla will decide that it’s better to come clean with Steve than continue doing Stefan’s bidding, and she’ll gear up to tell Steve the truth.
Days spoilers indicate that things will come to a head at John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) wedding and that Steve will learn the truth. But will Kayla get the chance to tell him herself, or will he find out via another means? Kayla will break down to Valerie, so Steve might overhear the truth. Or perhaps Stefan will show up and let something slip just for fun.
Regardless of how Steve finds out, he’s going to be stunned to learn what Kayla’s been up to, and he’ll be especially horrified to hear how Stefan dangled his eyesight over Kayla’s head. Steve will probably calm down after he realizes that Kayla did it all out of love for him, but he’s bound to be initially furious. Hopefully, most of his range will be directed at Stefan and not at his “sweetness.”
Steve has hated Stefan ever since Stefan took advantage of Abigail when she was operating as “Gabby,” and he’s not going to take lightly to Stefan messing with Kayla, too. Steve will likely vow revenge on Stefan, and if Stefan happens to be present when Steve finds out, Stefan had better watch out.
