Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) custody battle will get nasty. Next week, both sides will pull off some crazy stunts to keep the upper hand. Eve (Kassie DePaiva) will even resort to scheming with Victor (John Aniston), so you know she’ll be desperate!
As for Theresa, she’ll get some help thanks to a startling announcement from JJ (Casey Moss). He’ll really put a lot on the line for Theresa’s sake. However, it may be all for naught. From the get-go, we knew Theresa’s return wouldn’t last. She only signed on for a short-term stint and it looks like it’ll come to a close soon.
No matter how this custody fight turns out, Theresa’s departure is inevitable. Days will just have to deliver a believable reason to get her off canvas. One could be on the way during the week of July 16-20. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Theresa will face a terrible shock. She’ll receive some crushing news about Kimberly (Patsy Pease), so this could set up her looming exit.
When it comes to Theresa’s departure, Days obviously can’t take the kidnapping route again. Her demise seems unlikely as well. Since Lilley’s open to short stints like this, there’s no reason to kill Theresa off. Plus, DOOL’s head writer, Ron Carlivati, seems to like the character. He probably wants to leave the door open for Theresa’s return, so that’s where Kimberly could come in.
Sending characters away to care for relatives is a common exit strategy. It certainly sounds like Kimberly will be gravely ill or injured. Theresa may decide she needs to step up and be there for her mom. Since Theresa was stuck in Mexico for so long, they could stand to spend some time together anyway. If Kimberly’s knocking on death’s door, bonding could be more important than ever.
Will it break Theresa’s heart to leave Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder)? Absolutely, but Theresa’s apparently the queen of sacrifices. If she wins custody, she may change her mind and sign rights back over to Brady. If she loses, it would make it that much easier to leave. Brady can always mention Theresa having offscreen visits with her son.
