Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eric (Greg Vaughan) will get some infuriating news. He’ll eventually get a full confession from Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), so that’ll bring several major blows. For starters, Eric will have to deal with the fact that Jen lied to him. She’s been keeping this secret for weeks, so this could destroy their relationship completely.
However, most of Eric’s rage will be reserved for Brady (Eric Martsolf). The war between these brothers will soon be back on. Brady forced Nicole (Arianne Zucker) out of town by using Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry) murder against her. That’s exactly what Jennifer will come clean about, so Eric will unleash his wrath. He’ll be livid with Brady for putting Nicole in such a tough situation.
Next, Eric will focus on a new goal. Days of Our Lives spoilers say he’ll resolve to find Nicole and speak with her ASAP. Eric will want Nicole to know that he’s in the loop on everything. He may convince Brady to stand down, which would free Nicole to come home. Eric might plan on convincing her to life happily ever after with him, but fairytale endings just don’t pan out on soaps.
Days spoilers say Nicole’s indeed headed back to Salem. She’ll only be around for a short stint, which tells us Eric and Nicole won’t get a long-term reunion. With that in mind, we have to consider the obstacles that could cause trouble. There are two ways for DOOL to cause “Ericole” chaos.
For starters, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric and Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) storylines will collide. When Sami’s name is mentioned, you can guarantee there’ll be drama! Eric’s mission to find Nicole will cross over with Sami’s mission to locate EJ (James Scott). That could mean Eric will stumble across EJ instead or it could mean EJ and Nicole somehow ended up back together.
Of course, we can’t forget that Xander (Paul Telfer) has serious evidence against Nicole. He left town with the recorded confession and promised himself he’d use it to his advantage. Days of Our Lives spoilers state that Eric will find something he didn’t expect at Nicole’s place. A Xander sighting can’t be ruled out.
Then again, Xander could come into play later. He could bring the evidence forward just to make Nicole and Eric miserable. Xander has certainly targeted them in the past, so there’s no reason to think he won’t do it again. Nicole was drugged by Deimos at the time of his murder, but Days appears to be ignoring that. She could easily land behind bars or at least have Holly taken away from her.
Nevertheless, it’d be cruel to bring Nicole back just to lock her up. DOOL viewers would rather have Nicole out there somewhere pining for Eric, but happy with her daughter. Plus, we’d love to see Eric emerge as a hero. Perhaps he’ll make some sort of deal with Xander to get Nicole off the hook.
Nicole may have moved on with another man since her departure, but Eric would still want to see her free and content. It’s not Nicole’s fault that they were driven apart by Brady. Eric and Nicole seem doomed to remain star-crossed lovers, but “Ericole” fans should still get some good scenes before Nicole’s stint wraps up.
