General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the jig is almost up for Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Michael (Chad Duell) finally wised up and realized this mom-to-be is a monster. He’s on a mission to take Nelle down, so expect more sneakiness over the next few weeks.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Chad Duell dished on his character’s plan and offered hints about what’s ahead. For starters, Duell was asked about Michael’s decision to play dirty. Is he glad Michael’s opened his eyes to Nelle’s deception? He exclaimed, “Of course, I am, are you kidding me? Jeez!” Duell noted that he was “very ready” for Michael to get a clue and take action.
General Hospital fans know that Michael’s usually the sweetest guy around town. He tends to give everyone the benefit of the doubt when mistakes are made. Michael is also the king of second chances. In fact, those chances often become third chances, fourth chances and beyond.
Fortunately, Nelle’s chances have finally run out! Now that Michael’s had enough, Duell’s excited to play him with an edge. “As an actor, if you’re just being the nice guy or the hero all the time, it gets stale, so I have really been wanting to change him up.”
Duell talked about giving Michael a backbone and exploring deeper sides of him. He believes it’s something GH viewers want to see. As for Nelle’s fate, Duell revealed what Michael’s rooting for. He suggested that he’s “hoping she will be thrown in a mental institution or declared unfit” to raise his child.
General Hospital spoilers say Michael will be working overtime since the birth’s drawing near. He needs to take Nelle down before the baby comes or else she’ll pose a serious risk. There’s been some buzz about this potentially being someone else’s kid after all, so the rest of this storyline should be intriguing.
However, Duell has a request if this is indeed Michael’s son or daughter. He’s not a big fan of baby drama on set, which means a good nanny’s on his wish list. “Yes, 100 percent, I don’t like hauling around babies,” Duell admitted. “So, yes, a nanny would be nice!”
