General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Finn (Michael Easton) and Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) will face more drama. In a shocking twist, GH revealed that these men are brothers! It was a fun revelation that makes sense when you think about it.
First, they have very similar first names. Hamilton and Harrison certainly sound like they were named with a cutesy theme in mind. They both choose to go by their last names as well, so that’s something they have in common.
That also lets us know we’re probably dealing with a half-brother situation. Unless one of them disowned their father and chose to go by something else, it sounds like they have different dads. It’s also worth mentioning that Finn and Chase are both focused on doing things by the book. They like rules and a sense of order. Their mutual uptight personality must run in the family!
Now that we know Chase and Finn are brothers, it’s time to think about how GH will use this. Finn was clearly caught off guard when he saw Chase. He hadn’t heard about Chase’s last few transfers, so they appear to be estranged. General Hospital spoilers suggest that Finn and Chase will struggle to reconnect. That storyline should give both these characters something to do.
There’s a good chance we’ll see a lot more conflict before the tension dies down. After all, Chase just arrested his own brother! That’s a clever way to rev up the hostility right off the bat. Finn deserved to be taken into custody after punching Julian (William deVry), but that doesn’t mean he won’t hold it against Chase. The fact that Finn’s little bro placed him under arrest has to sting.
Of course, soap brothers often end up fighting over the same love interest. Will GH take that route here? General Hospital spoilers hint that Hayden (Rebecca Budig) could be back down the road. If Finn rejects her, Chase might make a move and stir up some jealousy. It’d be a great opportunity to build a real rivalry.
Whatever the case, Finn and Chase have some tough times ahead of them. They’ll undoubtedly form a bond at some point, but it’s not going to be easy! We’ll give you updates as other GH news comes in.
