General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason (Steve Burton) will make a promise to Sam (Kelly Monaco). When she asks for a divorce, he’ll grant the request. Jason will vow to back off and stay out of Sam’s way. They’ll have another deep conversation about the past and how things have changed.
Sam will do her best to steer clear of Jason and concentrate on the road ahead with Drew (Billy Miller). Unfortunately, there’ll be several problems. In addition to Sam’s lingering feelings for Jason, the divorce will hit a huge snag. It appears there’ll be some major delays as they try to dissolve their marriage.
That could certainly put a strain on Drew and Sam’s engagement. The longer they wait to tie the knot, the more likely a “JaSam” reunion seems. General Hospital spoilers say that won’t be the only obstacle in Sam and Drew’s path. We can’t forget about that New Year’s Eve kiss. It obviously meant something to both Jason and Sam, but Drew’s being kept out of the loop.
However, it’s only a matter of time until Drew learns the whole story. Sam might confess at some point, but it’d be more dramatic if Drew overheard the news. Perhaps Sam and Jason will discuss the make-out session as Drew listens nearby. The fact that they kissed is bad enough, but the lying may be the real problem. Between the wedding delays and Sam’s deception, Drew’s world will quickly crumble.
Carly (Laura Wright) could definitely make all this worse. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will reach a compromise with someone next week, January 8-12. She may agree to cheer Jason on without crossing the line. Carly can’t pretend she’s rooting for Drew and Sam, but she should try to tolerate their choices.
Of course, that plan may not last. Carly might be the one to drop the kiss bomb to Drew later. Regardless, all the doubters could affect Drew’s view of the situation. The issues are piling up and he may wonder if there’s truly hope for his future with Sam.
It sounds like the show’s gearing up for a devastating, broken engagement. Drew and Sam may find their way back to each other, but there’s bound to be crushing drama first.
