General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Margaux’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) move could open up a world of possibilities. She recently gave Drew (Billy Miller) the flash drive, but he’s adamant about not using it. Drew doesn’t want to risk all the new memories he’s made with his family over the last few years.
That’s certainly understandable, but will GH really just let Drew’s past go to waste? If that was the plan, the flash drive probably would’ve just been lost forever. Instead, they put it in Margaux’s hands and she ultimately handed it over to Drew. General Hospital is probably trying to get their friendship back on track for some future romance, but Drew will need someone else to love in the meantime.
The most important part of all this is to give Drew a choice and let him find his own path. After all this buildup, it’s doubtful Drew will just skip finding out about his history. Perhaps Andre (Anthony Montgomery) will come up with a way to make the memory procedure a bit safer. Eliminating some of the risk might help Drew take the leap.
If not, Drew may just have to go for it like Oscar (Garren Stitt) did with his clinical trial. Sometimes the risk it worth it if the payoff could be huge. Drew may have some dark secrets buried in his past, but there are surely some good things, too. His history with Kim (Tamara Braun) could come rushing back, but she’s probably not the only one Drew loved and lost.
By recovering his memories, Drew might remember several great love stories of the past. A few months ago, an audition script surfaced that seemed to point in this direction. The names were disguised, but it appeared to be about Drew and a high-school sweetheart.
Perhaps GH shifted gears a bit and decided to hold off on that plot. The show could be ready to roll now. Someone from Drew’s past will surface next week and this stranger could put Drew on the road to discovery. Drew might decide to look into his history with some old-fashioned detective work – at least at first.
That could easily lead Drew back in the direction of an old love interest. If he learns enough about who he used to be, Drew might be convinced to recapture what he’s missing. This could give Kim some competition after Drew potentially undergoes the procedure. Maybe he’ll feel a stronger bond with another former flame and leave her brokenhearted once again.
