General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the ABC soap is adding a cast member. Elizabeth Hendrickson is headed to GH, so that’s certainly exciting news. Soap Opera Digest confirms that she’ll start taping this week. It won’t be long until another lovely lady arrives in Port Charles.
We should mention that Hendrickson is no stranger to the soap world. She’s had major roles on All My Children as well as The Young and the Restless. In fact, Hendrickson’s Y&R history could affect her future storylines at GH. She played Chloe Mitchell and her love interest was none other than Billy Miller’s outstanding version of Billy Abbott.
Miller and Hendrickson earned plenty of fans through the “Chilly” love story. There was apparently chemistry both on screen and off! Hendrickson dated Miller for a while, so it’s easy to see why viewers saw a spark. Since Chloe and Billy were successful couple on Y&R, that may have given General Hospital a brilliant idea. Why not pair Hendrickson and Miller up as a new couple on GH?
This sounds like a great solution to a big problem. Now that Jason’s (Steve Burton) back in Port Charles, it’s left the show in a bind. There are many supporters on both sides of Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) love triangle – vocal fans of both DreAm and JaSam. Some fans only want Sam with Drew and others are loving the current march toward Jason.
It makes sense to keep up this destiny angle with JaSam, but how can they please Drew supporters? Most viewers agree that the chemistry between Kim (Tamara Braun) and Drew is pretty much nonexistent. They just don’t seem to have any kind of sizzle when they’re together.
However, Sam can’t be with two men. If Drew doesn’t work with Kim and isn’t meant for Sam, what can GH do? The best plan is to bring in a love interest they know Miller will have chemistry with. That could be exactly why they hired Hendrickson.
General Hospital spoilers say Drew will recover his memories down the road. Maybe there’s another significant woman in his past. Kim surely wasn’t Drew’s only former flame, so Hendrickson’s character could give her some competition.
