General Hospital Spoilers: Faison Fakes Nathan’s Death, Port Charles Mourns – Kidnapped Son Held Prisoner

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) stunning exit is rapidly approaching. His departure is a done deal and that means Port Charles will face a terrible loss. Naturally, Maxie (Kristen Storms) will be the one most affected by this shocker. Nathan’s presumed death is looming and it’s going to hit her hard.

The news will also be tough for Nathan’s family, friends and coworkers. General Hospital spoilers say a dark cloud will hang over PC while they mourn. GH fans should be prepared for some depressing episodes! Nevertheless, life must go on. Everyone will eventually try to find a new normal. That’ll be especially difficult for Maxie. She’s expecting a baby and she won’t be sure she can raise it alone.

Fortunately, there’s a bright spot in all of this. General Hospital viewers will recall the promo that was released earlier this month (see below). It features a panicked Nathan waking up inside a locked room. Faison (Anders Hove) always wanted a son he could mold into his own sinister image. He may take Nathan hostage and hope he can convince him to carry on his evil legacy.

That’s obviously not the ideal situation, but it’s better than truly killing Nathan off. GH can leave the door open for a recast or even Paevey’s return. After all, how many soap stars have pursued other opportunities that didn’t pan out? Countless cast members have made their way back home sooner or later. Just look at what happened with Steve Burton (Jason).

It’s smart to leave the door open in case Paevey changes his mind. Even if Paevey finds success elsewhere, GH could bring in a new Nathan to finally give Maxie some comfort. After a reasonable period of time, the show might take the recast route and hope it works out.

Regardless, General Hospital spoilers hint that Faison’s deception will make this departure easier on fans. Although viewers are losing Nathan, it helps to know he won’t be gone for good!
