General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the one-sided feud between Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Det. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is rooted in Finn’s hatred of their father. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) recently set up a sneaky meeting between these half-brothers, but it was a complete disaster. On the bright side, their conversation brought Chase a little closer to the truth.
Finn admitted that his issue was with their father, not Chase. GH fans also learned a few tidbits thanks to Chase’s suspicions. Their father remarried soon after Finn’s mother died, so Chase felt like that might have something to do with the drama. Finn simply indicated that if he had a relationship with Chase, he’d have to have one with their dad, too. That’s not something he’s willing to sign up for.
So what’s the deal with Finn, Chase and their father? And why do they have different last names? Since Finn obviously loathes his old man, he may have changed his last name to erase him from his life. Finn might’ve saw it as another way to distance himself from the dad he hates.
The death of Finn’s mother could explain Finn’s medical research background as well. Perhaps she was ill and that drove Finn down this path. He might’ve hoped to develop cures and save others. Finn indeed developed a cure for Blackwood’s syndrome, although it came too late for his wife, Reiko. That added to his suffering since he’d already lost his mom.
General Hospital spoilers haven’t revealed the details surrounding the grim fate of Finn’s mother. It’s possible that Finn’s father was fooling around while his wife was dying at home. He could’ve had a lengthy affair with Chase’s mom, which would explain why they rushed to the altar so quickly.
Finn may blame his father for adding to his mother’s stress and essentially killing her faster. He might feel like his dad’s midlife crisis made things worse. There’s even a chance that Finn’s mom uncovered the cheating and committed suicide. If this guy was the love of her life, she would’ve been absolutely devastated.
If GH really wanted to go for a twist, they could reveal that Finn and Chase aren’t half-brothers at all. What if Finn’s dad swooped in and stole his son’s girlfriend? She may have already been pregnant with Finn’s baby, which would make Chase the doc’s biological son!
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say some surprising news will be exposed about this family. Chase and Finn’s relationship could become more complicated than ever.
