General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap alum has scored another exciting role. Bryan Craig made a brief comeback as Morgan Corinthos not too long ago, but he’s still in the primetime game. He had a recurring role on The CW’s Valor this season and now he’s joining the cast of a different drama.
According to Deadline, Craig is on board for a new ABC pilot. He’ll play a series regular on Grand Hotel, which has some big names attached. Eva Longoria is serving as the executive producer and Ken Olin is set to direct. Olin is also an executive producer on NBC’s This Is Us, so he knows a thing or two about producing hits.
Brian Tanen is serving as the writer of this intriguing drama, which is based on a Spanish format. Grand Hotel will definitely head into soapy territory, so it appears Craig can put his GH roots to good use. The premise centers around a hotel near Miami beach along with the family and staff members who run it. Shocking secrets are sure to make waves at this picture-perfect getaway destination.
Craig will play a handsome playboy named Javi. His character will be a real rebel who doesn’t live by his strict father’s rules. Javi marches to the beat of his own drum and his smart mouth can sometimes get him in trouble. It sounds like this role will be a great fit for Craig.
Of course, this means we probably won’t see Craig back as Morgan anytime soon. If the pilot gets picked up and all goes well, Craig will be pretty busy. However, Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) current scheme seems destined to end in Morgan’s return. General Hospital spoilers hint that a recast is possible, so stay tuned.
Regardless, it’s nice to see Craig achieving success in primetime. Many GH fans are wishing him luck on Grand Hotel and any other interesting projects. There are bound to be even more roles if Craig continues to audition and puts some hard work into it.
