General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) face from the past, “Hank” (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), may not know Drew from Afghanistan at all. Hank is obviously in the loop on Drew’s time as a Navy SEAL, but that could be from thorough research. Perhaps Hank actually knows Drew from his time on Cassadine Island!
There was a mention of Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) in the GH episode airing December 27. General Hospital spoilers also say that Cassandra and the mystery of who kidnapped her will remain in play. The answer won’t be revealed anytime soon, but the secret will hover over Port Charles in 2019.
General Hospital fans certainly have theories about the unknown hand that was spotted on Cassandra’s knee. It was a man sporting a Cassadine ring, so that narrows things down. Since Cassandra was abducted from a WSB medical facility, a not-so-dead Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) could be the insider who set up the transfer to the clinic in Canada.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was connected to Cassandra at one time, but he’s caught up in other fake daughter drama and probably wouldn’t want to stir up anything else.
It would’ve rather let Cassandra remain in her deep slumber! Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols) or Nicolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) have also been brought up as back-from-the-dead options, but maybe we need to dig deeper.
There’s another possibility that could tie in with both the Cassandra kidnapping story and Drew Cain’s past. What if Hank is actually a new Cassadine character or possibly one of Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) minions? General Hospital spoilers say Hank has a past connection to Drew but current connections to at least two other Port Charles residents.
GH viewers can’t see him as a recast of a past Cassadine. He’s too old to be Nikolas and that wouldn’t make sense in the Hank-Drew storyline anyway. This guy also can’t be a recast Victor or Stefan since he’s too young and again, it’d be tough to fit the stories together.
A Cassadine Island angle, on the other hand, would work. Hank might’ve been on Cassadine Island around the time Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Drew were there. General Hospital fans will recall that Drew was being trained as Helena’s “toy soldier” back then.
At some point, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) rescued Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and put him in the Russian clinic for protection. That would explain why Jason had no recognition of Hank. Peter may have known Hank or known of him.
The same goes for Valentin. Regardless, if Hank is a new Cassadine, then he’s related to several characters and that would account for the connections on canvas.
Hank would have ties to Valentin, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Could he also be the owner of the mysterious Cassadine hand on Cassandra’s knee?
