General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the reason Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang) left town and now is possibly outright missing ties directly to her former boyfriend and likely abuser, Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan).
General Hospital viewers will remember that a few days ago, Franco (Roger Howarth) received a card from Betsy, congratulating him on his marriage (now postponed due to the earthquake) to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). When the dastardly Jim Harvey caught wind of it, he made a cryptic phone call, telling the person on the other end that he or she had done something really stupid. General Hospital buzz is that the call was to none other than Betsy Frank!
Betsy’s past behavior, with telling Franco tall tales about his childhood and best buddy Andrew (grown Drew being portrayed by Billy Miller), even to the point of denying Andy’s existence to Franco – and telling him Andrew was his imaginary friend, points to having been the victim of severe emotional and possibly physical abuse by Jim when they were still involved.
GH spoilers say that this abuse caused so much fear in Betsy that she tried to hide the truth for many years, and more than likely went into hiding upon finding out Jim had surfaced in Port Charles. In those years, Betsy may very well have sought advice and possibly protection from Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) since he seems to have a lot of knowledge about that time, knowledge that he is not sharing with Franco or anyone else.
General Hospital buzz is that Betsy knows too many of Jim’s secrets from the past, and possibly secrets from the present as well. Has Jim decided that Betsy has become a threat to be reckoned with and a voice to be silenced? Has Betsy gone into hiding or has Jim done something dastardly?
Will Betsy be found, and if so, will she be found alive – or dead, a victim of a murder with Jim having had the motive, the means, and the opportunity? Nothing is known for sure about Betsy at this point so keep watching GH on ABC and return to CDL for all your General Hospital spoilers, new, and updates!
