General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kiki (Hayley Erin) will soon take action against her sleazy mentor. She’s undoubtedly still fuming over what happened in his office. Kiki called Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) disgusting after he suddenly planted a kiss on her. It was the final straw in a string of inappropriate advances.
After Dr. Bensch brushes off the incident as nothing, Kiki will really hit the roof. This wasn’t a matter of mixed signals or any other type of misunderstanding. Dr. Bensch knew exactly what he was doing. He was buttering up a vulnerable med student to – as Kiki put it – get in her pants.
Kiki may be tempted to just let it go, but what about Dr. Bensch’s other potential victims? This probably isn’t the first time he’s made his move in the workplace. It may not be the last time either. If Kiki doesn’t act, Dr. Bensch could easily find another innocent student to take under his wing. She could end up in the same boat.
Kiki has a good head on her shoulders, so she’ll know this wasn’t her fault. However, General Hospital spoilers say she’ll still be nervous about what comes next. Kiki may carefully consider the possible consequences of turning Dr. Bensch in. It won’t be an easy choice since he could try to sabotage her career in retaliation.
Still, Kiki may not be able to live with herself if she just moves on. This was sexual harassment and that’s unacceptable. If Kiki finally determines that she must seek justice, she’ll need someone trustworthy to confide in. It’ll have to be somebody in authority who will really take the time to hear Kiki out.
Monica (Leslie Charleson) is the natural choice here. As a female, Monica is certainly aware of how prevalent this issue is. Dr. Bensch may be a respected doctor and member of the community, but that shouldn’t matter when accusations come to light. You never really know how a person behaves behind closed doors.
Monica may choose to dig into Dr. Bensch’s history and see if they missed a pattern during the hiring process. It’d be better to have all the facts before she confronts Dr. Bensch and hears his side of the story. Of course, Kiki could always open up to other confidants before officially reporting her sexual harasser. It’s easy to imagine Kiki sharing the news with Griffin (Matt Cohen).
Kiki could even seek Griffin’s advice for a “friend” as she tries to make her decision. He might sense that this is actually about Kiki and push for more info. Ava (Maura West) should get in on this GH drama at some point. She’ll be livid when she realizes what that creep did to her daughter!
Nevertheless, Monica’s the best person to handle the issue in the end. It’s doubtful this is dirty Dr. Bensch’s first rodeo, so he may have left a trail of complaints and allegations. If Monica can’t uncover much of anything, Kiki could always rely on Curtis (Donnell Turner) to dig up evidence. He’s always up for some snooping.
Dr. Bensch may have a nasty past, so that could swing things in Kiki’s favor. Do you hope Kiki can take this guy down? Will Monica believe Kiki’s claims and make other shocking discoveries?
