General Hospital (GH) spoilers is pleased to pass on some exciting information about an upcoming special episode of GH. The episode, which will air on Monday, November 12, will feature Sonny (Maurice Benard) reflecting on his life and considering what might have happened if he had made different life choices.
This “Sonny-centric” episode will include Maurice Benard’s real-life son, Joshua Benard, playing the part of a younger Sonny. Joshua is an actor and has previously appeared in the movie “The Ghost And The Whale.”
GH has released a video promo for the special episode, which you can watch below. In the promo, Sonny is shown thinking about some “what if” questions and promises to take viewers on a journey with Sonny as he wonders what he’d do if he were able to go back and change his life.
“The respect, the power, the money. Breaking the rules and getting away with it. I wanted it so bad I could taste it,” Sonny states in the promo, as stills of Dante (Dominick Zamprogna), Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright) flash by. Theres also a brief scene of Joshua Benard portraying Sonny as a youth and pointing a gun at someone.
It should be noted that Dominick Zamprogna, who portrays Dante, will return for this special episode. Dante has not been seen on-screen since he went undercover with a special WBS task force to track down a criminal who previously attempted to kill Lulu (Emme Rylan).
