General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) has a stunning plan. She just put the first phase of it in motion on Thursday’s episode. Nelle’s hoping that Carly (Laura Wright) will be completely blindsided by what she has in store. She intends to make Carly suffer and get her out of the way at the same time.
Nelle wouldn’t divulge the details to Ava (Maura West), but she secured more flexible hours to help with her plot. Ava was quick to agree since Nelle has a much more important job to do. Destroying Carly will benefit them both, so Ava’s all for it.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, it seems Nelle’s going to gaslight Carly. She vowed to hit Carly where it hurts and there’s been plenty of Morgan (Bryan Craig) talk lately. Nelle most likely plans to “haunt” Carly and make her think Morgan’s still alive.
With any luck, Carly’s loved ones will think she’s slowly being driven insane by lingering grief. She recently came after Nelle about her stint in a mental institution. Carly actually has a similar history. Both of these women spent time in a psychiatric facility after a nervous breakdown.
There’s a chance that Nelle’s scheme will truly take a toll on Carly’s mental health. Carly may really need some care by the end of all this. Regardless, there are plenty of ways this plot could go wrong. Carly or Michael (Chad Duell) could catch on at some point.
Of course, there’s another option here. General Hospital has been careful to keep Morgan’s memory alive. They even brought Bryan Craig back for a special Ava-centric episode. GH wants to keep this character fresh in our minds.
Since Craig was willing to come back for that appearance, could he come back for more? That’s certainly a possibility to consider. If Craig wanted to keep it short-term, Nelle’s scheme could lead to hallucinations for Carly. These sneaky mind tricks could turn into very real issues.
However, Nelle’s plan could backfire if Morgan returns permanently. If Morgan’s alive, Nelle could be the one who gets spooked! General Hospital spoilers say the show will bring some serious drama, so stay tuned.
