General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nina’s (Michelle Stafford) longing for a baby, but that’s out of the question. Kim (Tamara Braun) insisted that Nina wouldn’t get another shot at a pregnancy, so Nina has accepted that her bond with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) is as good as it gets. She adores Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter, but part of her still aches for a child of her own.
Nina may not get a tiny bundle of joy, but she could still get a chance at motherhood. GH fans will recall that Nina was comatose for over 20 years and she supposedly had a miscarriage during that timeframe. It’s been a few years since then, so that would make Nelle just the right age for Nina’s long-lost daughter.
If GH is going to take this route, it makes sense to use Nelle here. Some General Hospital viewers have suggested Kiki (Hayley Erin) as an option, but she may be on her way out. Erin scored a hot pilot that will likely be picked up, so Kiki could head off canvas eventually.
Plus, General Hospital would have to undo Kiki’s backstory and spin a new tale. She’ll always think of Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) as her sister, but it’d still be a shame to see that rewritten. Nelle, on the other hand, has no family at all. She’s also a pathological liar, so who knows if her backstory’s even true?
Frank wasn’t exactly honest Abe either, so Nelle may have been stolen for all we know. That would explain why Frank didn’t care about giving away her kidney or supplying her with a decent life. Perhaps Nelle’s “mom” talked Frank into stealing her as a baby. Frank may have resented Nelle as another mouth to feed since it drained his gambling fund.
There have been several long-lost children stories on the ABC soap lately, but there’s always room for one more. It’s silly to leave this plot dangling anyway. Nina might as well find that kid. There was really no other reason for her to mention her previous pregnancy. It may be a huge hint about what’s to come.
As a bonus, Nina hates Nelle’s guts. That could make things complicated if Nelle’s revealed to be Nina’s child. Would Nina change her tune? We’d say yes! Nelle might resist forming a connection at first, but she could come around in time.
In fact, Nina and Nelle could become two peas in a pod. They used to be quite close and they could soon have a reason to bond again. General Hospital spoilers say Valentin’s partnership with Peter (Wes Ramsey) will exposed down the road. Nina could easily revert to her dark side when that happens.
Perhaps Nelle and Nina can become a scheming duo! They could take down each other’s enemies like Carly and ultimately Valentin. Could you see heading in this direction?
