General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the Nurses Ball has been a hot topic on social media lately. Some fans don’t seem convinced that GH is doing one this year, but we can set the record straight. There’s no need to worry! The Nurses Ball will indeed be back for a great 2018 edition.
Frank Valentini, GH’s executive producer, tweeted out confirmation on the event’s return. He posted a pic from 2014’s Nurses Ball last week and said, “#ThrowbackThursday it’s coming back.” He probably wanted to calm anyone who might be nervous about the show skipping it. The Nurses Ball is important to viewers, so it’s nice that GH recognizes that and is going to give fans what they want.
Chris Van Etten, one of General Hospital’s co-head writers, also hinted about the Nurses Ball back in late January. It seems holding the event again has always been the plan. Etten asked Ryan Paevey (Nathan) some humorous questions during a Twitter Q&A session. Even Paevey had a good laugh about them.
“Excuse me @RyanPaevey I have two VERY important question, “Van Etten said. Will you miss stripping down for the Nurses Ball? And will you return for the Nurses Ball?” Paevey wouldn’t commit to that. He quoted the tweet and replied, “Haha, no and no.”
Of course, there’s been some buzz about Paevey possibly popping up as Nathan again. He obviously won’t be displaying his abs for the Nurses Ball, but a ghostly reunion with Maxie (Kristen Storms) would be appropriate. Since the birth of their baby could be happening around that time, we shouldn’t rule anything out.
Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) chimed in on the Nurses Ball recently as well. When Valentini shared a pic of Zeman and Sonya Eddy (Epiphany) for GH’s 55th anniversary, Zeman quoted the tweet and added a comment. “Always a pleasure to share scenes with you @TheRealSonyaEd,” Zeman said. “Hoping for more when we shoot #NursesBall.”
Many GH viewers are would love to see more of Epiphany, Bobbie and other familiar faces at this year’s bash.
