General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that life as Peter (Wes Ramsey) knows it will come to an end. He’s built a solid career in Port Charles and he was well on his way to a hot romance. However, all that’s gone out the window now. Peter will obviously lose his job as Aurora Media’s COO. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) will also hate Peter for his many lies, connection to Faison (Anders Hove) and Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) death.
Peter shouldn’t care too much about his derailed career, but he’ll certainly care about losing Maxie. You can bet he’ll do whatever he can to make this right, but how can she ever trust him again? Peter played a huge role in summoning Faison to town. He’s part of the reason Nathan is dead, so that’s a major hurdle here.
Now that Maxie has her new baby boy, she’ll be grieving for Nathan (Ryan Paevey) more than ever. He would’ve been such a proud papa to this little one. As she continues to deal with her loss, Maxie will loathe Peter along with the rest of Port Charles. Nevertheless, Peter will probably hang in there and hope for a second chance.
Can Peter truly be redeemed? General Hospital could really use another full-on villain, but they may not be headed in that direction – at least not right now. They’ve given Peter far too much of a soft side. The fact that Peter delivered Maxie’s baby seemingly seals the deal on a looming redemption arc.
If Franco (Roger Howarth) can be redeemed, there’s hope for just about anyone in Port Charles. GH tends to like this type of love story. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) is forced to constantly defend her relationship with Franco. Griffin (Matt Cohen) and Ava (Maura West) are currently on the outs, but that was a similar situation. Maxie could be next to fall for a dark character who’s trying to climb into the light.
Of course, this will take some work on Peter’s part. How can he possibly make amends after his shocking deception? If GH takes the usual soapy route, Peter will probably rescue Maxie and her baby at some point. He has to play the hero to have any hope of winning Maxie and some of Port Charles over.
Since we know how sneaky Faison can be (he has ‘died’ more than once already), there’s a possibility that he faked his death and is waiting to pounce on his grandson. If Peter takes a bullet stopping his ruthless father, that’d be a great way to on Maxie’s good side again. She might fear that Nathan’s brother will die just like he did.
If Peter survives whatever’s in store for him, he may be able to gain Maxie’s favor once more. General Hospital spoilers say some hot drama’s ahead, so stay tuned.
