General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there are several unanswered questions concerning Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) file on Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). For starters, the file itself is unusual. It looks more like a scrapbook than your typical dossier.
Why not just stick all the info on a flash drive? Putting a giant folder marked “NATHAN WEST” in a cabinet was a quick way to get caught. There are also questions about who created this file. Did Peter gather the records himself? If so, when Peter sought this information is quite important.
Peter supposedly didn’t know about his half-brother, so why does he have this? If Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) hopes to learn more about this file, he’ll have work cut out for him! Still, Curtis could come to many conclusions if he digs deep enough.
It’s possible that Peter started gathering this info recently. Perhaps he looked into it after he learned the truth about Nathan. However, it’s also possible that his research goes back much further. What if Peter secretly knew about Nathan and that was one of the reasons he landed in Port Charles? Maybe Peter hoped to become allies at some point.
If Peter knew Nathan was his half-brother, he had opportunities to get to know him before his death. Why not seek him out? General Hospital’s twin saga might’ve hindered that plan. There was plenty of GH drama surrounding Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Drew Cain (Billy Miller), so Peter already had a lot to handle.
Peter ultimately used Nathan to draw their father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), out of hiding. Perhaps the file was part of that plot. Peter didn’t intend for Nathan to get himself killed, so things went horribly wrong.
Then again, maybe Nina Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) was right. Peter’s creation of this file may have been all about Maxie Jones West (Kirsten Storms), the vulnerable widow. This could probably help Peter in his romantic pursuit somehow. There’s even a chance that Peter has a sweet surprise in store. These records could be part of a plan to honor Nathan and preserve his memory for Maxie’s child.
Did Peter create this file for nefarious reasons or could he have a more innocent goal in mind? Was Peter’s dark side hard at work or is there a harmless explanation?
