General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Oscar Nero’s (Garren Stitt) life could be in jeopardy. There seems to be a Quartermaine family brain curse, which means it may have struck again. On a recent GH episode, Oscar spent some time bonding with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). He shared some sweet moments before Jason offered to let Oscar hop on his motorcycle.
That’s when tragedy struck. Oscar suddenly wobbled backward and began having a seizure. This isn’t a good sign, especially when you look at the Quartermaines’ history of brain issues. Most of those issues have been the result of accidents or illnesses. Jason suffered a traumatic brain injury in December 1995. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) also had a case of brain worms in March 2016.
Of course, AJ (Sean Kanan) had a brain bleed in March 2014. We can’t forget about Oscar’s dad either. In September 2014, Drew Cain (Billy Miller) suffered a traumatic brain injury after being run over by Ava Jerome (Maura West). Even going back as far as April 2008, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was shot in the head and fell into a coma.
Is Oscar the latest victim of this apparent family brain curse? Could a tumor or other brain condition have caused the seizure? That’s probably a safe bet. General Hospital spoilers say Dr. Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) will feel helpless next week. Drew will also find himself feeling bewildered after Oscar’s trip to GH.
Later, Kim will reveal a devastating secret. Perhaps she’ll be informed of Oscar’s condition and decide to keep him out of the loop. Kim may downplay Oscar’s diagnosis in an effort to protect him. However, she’d naturally want to share the truth with Drew and lean on him for support. They’re Oscar’s parents, so they’ll need to get through this together.
Kim may have even been informed years ago. It’s possible Oscar had brain surgery as a young child. That might’ve fixed the problem temporarily, but now the tumor or other brain condition may have returned. Regardless, Oscar will need urgent medical care. What a terrible time for GH to be short a neurosurgeon! Maybe Oscar’s predicament will be Dr. Griffin Munro’s (Matt Cohen) ticket back on staff.
Then again, another specialist may debut to assist Oscar. Kim and Drew will certainly do whatever it takes to save their son.
