General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) may have been under investigation for quite some time. As a result of all her marriage scams, a secret sting may be closing in on her. On December 13, Curtis Ashford and Sam did a little research. They hopped on a laptop and tried to track down the person who subscribed to the Galena newspaper for Yvonne Godfrey (Janet Hubert).
Sam and Curtis came up with a result of “Linda Black,” which was an alias Sam used with an entirely different husband than Leland Powell. This could point to a sting that may have begun many years ago. Sam married five different men under five different aliases. She conned each one out of some serious money, so her past may be coming back to haunt her.
After all these marriage scams, Sam only came close to being caught once. Bill Monroe was one of Sam’s marks and his daughter, Amelia Joffe (Annie Wersching), tracked Sam down in Port Charles. She wanted revenge for her father’s death.
It’s true that Sam killed Monroe, but she acted in self-defense. He was abusive and left Sam with no choice but to shoot him. Nothing ever came of the charges, so Amelia eventually departed PC without incident. Sam filled Curtis in after he asked if any of the men had potentially vengeful children, but there could be more to the story this time.
The person currently targeting Sam knows about Leland Powell as well as Sam’s unrelated alias of “Linda Black.” In other words, this mystery man or woman has knowledge of at least two separate marriage scams. It makes sense that he or she knows about the others, too. The motive for all this may be more than just simple revenge.
A new General Hospital character, Peyton Mills (John Patrick Jordan), is set to debut on GH toward the end of December. It appears he’s tied to Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) past, but it’s possible his plot will cross over into Sam’s. Drew was a Navy SEAL, so there could be some overlap if one of the husbands Sam conned was also in the Navy.
It’s not too far-fetched to think Peyton might be some sort of agent who’s digging around. Peyton might be with the NCIS, which is short for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Since Sam was running scams around the same time as Navy SEAL Drew was involved with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun), the timeline could fit.
General Hospital spoilers say Sam’s storyline will lead to some bombshells, so GH will undoubtedly throw in some major twists. Is a secret sting underway?
