General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we’ve got some huge comings and goings news to pass along. For starters, Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) demise is rapidly approaching. It looks like Nathan may bite the dust by the end of the week, so that’ll launch some intense grieving for February sweeps.
GH buzz hints that Nathan’s perceived death may be the result of Faison’s (Anders Hove) ruse, but we’ll just have to see how things play out. It won’t matter to Nathan’s friends and family members though. Even if he’s stuck in captivity, they’ll believe Nathan faced a grim fate.
That departure brings us to a big return. Valerie (Brytni Sarpy) will make a comeback just in time for all the cops’ sorrow. The PCPD will all follow the usual mourning band protocol after Nathan’s death. A black strip will be placed on each badge as a way to publicly grieve.
This loss is sure to hit Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) hard. He had a close bond with Nathan, but Faison will snatch it away. Speaking of Faison, he won’t be around too much longer. Jason (Steve Burton) will vow to kill Faison, but will he pull it off? Faison’s awfully slippery, so don’t rule out another dramatic escape.
Other General Hospital spoilers say one cast member is sticking around. Since Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) romance with Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) has fizzled, many fans were left wondering if he’d been cut. However, Dr. Bensch has more scenes coming up in February. He’ll undoubtedly be proud of Kiki (Haley Erin), who recently got into med school.
Will Dr. Bensch find someone else to date or just focus on his work for a while? This guy keeps striking out with the ladies, so maybe he should take a break! Stay tuned to see what’s next for Dr. Bensch and his unlucky love life.
Parry Shen (Brad) is returning to GH as well – most likely this appearance will be for Nathan’s coming Funeral.
Finally, there are some updates on Genie Francis’ (Laura) recent exit. Frank Valentini, GH’s executive producer, reportedly only wants Laura around for a handful of episodes per year. That apparently doesn’t work for Francis. Her agent told EW that if a return ever happens, the storyline and timing will have to be just right.
It sounds like Laura’s trip will have to be extended. She could be away from Port Charles indefinitely. Let’s hope one of the other soaps scoop Francis up and takes advantage of her talent!
