General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some gripping drama is on the way. GH fans still haven’t recovered from Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) devastating funeral and that surprise Georgie (Lindze Letherman) sighting. Nevertheless, another round of heartbreak is in the works. The Corinthos family has a crisis ahead and Mike (Max Gail) will be at the center of it.
Mike’s clearly battling some memory issues, so Sonny (Maurice Benard) probably knows what’s going on or at least has strong suspicions. It seems pretty obvious that General Hospital’s going to do an Alzheimer’s storyline. Naturally, that’ll bring some difficult moments.
Sonny will rely on Griffin (Matt Cohen) for help soon, so maybe the good doc will examine Mike and recommend a specialist. General Hospital spoilers say the show plans to cast a special doctor, so it’s possible he or she will be part of Mike’s story. Regardless, Maurice Benard recently gave some Twitter hints about the captivating scenes to come.
Benard mentioned working with Laura Wright (Carly) and Max Gail. He suggested that the material they brought to life was so real that “it didn’t even feel like acting.” Benard also thanked his costars for giving their all.
Later, Benard retweeted a fan who guessed that there were some “very emotional tear-jerking scenes coming up regarding Mikes health.” The same fan added that Carly wouldn’t let Sonny suffer alone. That’s one thing we can always count on. Carly stands by her man and never lets Sonny sink too far down. She’ll undoubtedly be by Sonny’s side as he copes with Mike’s ordeal.
Steve Burton (Jason) managed to catch some of the scenes they were filming. He watched in his dressing room and just had to give them a social media shout-out. Burton hopped on Twitter to praise Benard, Wright and Gail for their brilliant performances.
“Amazing work today you guys,” Burton said. “Watched it in my dressing room while you taped it.” Burton added that these scenes were truly heart-wrenching. They’ll be airing in just a few weeks, so GH viewers will finally get to see this great material.
