General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may have to break up a fight at Turning Woods, the Alzheimer’s care center where his father Mike Corbin (Max Gail) spends days, and Marcus Godfrey’s (Nigel Gibbs) wife Yvonne (Janet Hubert) is full time.
Mike and Yvonne have become real buddies, and although it would seem harmless, Marcus has a real jealous streak where Yvonne is concerned.
In the Friday, December 14 GH episode, Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) were getting ready to leave to go home after a visit with Mike, which was rather disheartening because Mike forgot not only who Sonny was, but apparently himself as well.
Sonny and Carly tried to get Mike’s attention while he was talking with Yvonne, and Mike lashed out, wanting to know where Sonny’s father was! Unfortunately, both Mike’s anger and his not knowing what was going on show that he has likely entered the last stage of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Then, once Mike calmed down, they watched him as he was talking to Yvonne under some mistletoe. However, just as Mike was getting ready to kiss Yvonne under the mistletoe, in walked Marcus, who had just come from a visit with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson).
GH fans know Marcus is already upset about Mike’s friendship with Yvonne and feels like Mike is making moves on her. On Monday’s new GH episode, December 17, when Marcus walks in on this scene, he’s liable to go ballistic!
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will try to intervene, but if it looks like Marcus and Mike are going to come to blows. Of course Sonny will need to step in and break up any fight that may be getting ready to start – woe to anyone who dares to hurt his dad regardless of the reason.
Marcus may feel like he is well within his rights after this incident to go to the facility’s powers that be and ask that Mike be no longer allowed to be there – and this is right at the point when Mike may need to be there full time.
