General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) keeping more secrets. It’s clear that Peter’s difficult childhood really messed him up. He’s spent most of his life seeking vengeance for how he was treated by Faison (Anders Hove), but what happens now that he’s accomplished it?
Peter’s past will catch up with him in surprising ways, so the drama’s far from over. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Wes Ramsey talked about signing on for his intriguing role and all the chaos that came with it. GH fans know there was plenty of secrecy about the twin saga and its related plots. The show kept everything they could under wraps to preserve the shockers.
Even Ramsey was kept out of the loop on the details of his character. “I’d say during most of October and November, up to Thanksgiving, I really was simply in the dark,” Ramsey said. However, he had no complaints about that. In fact, Ramsey suggested it was helpful.
“Sometimes ignorance can be bliss because when you don’t know, you don’t have to worry too much about something else coming down the road,” Ramsey said. He was willing to just roll with it at first, but he admitted his curiosity started growing in December. General Hospital viewers were feeling the same way!
Ramsey had heard whispers about bombshells for Peter and some things in the scripts just weren’t adding up. “I realized that some of the writing was getting to a point where I didn’t have enough information and that point I realized I had to shake the tree,” Ramsey said.
Once Ramsey was filled in on what would happen moving forward, he was able to sink his teeth into Peter and what makes him tick. Of course, taking on the role of Faison’s son was a major deal. Ramsey insisted that he was beyond grateful for the chance to take this legacy and make it his own.
Naturally, Ramsey enjoyed working with the incredible Anders Hove. He called the scenes he shared with Hove a “huge gift.” Ramsey even exchanged info with Hove and plans to keep in touch. They formed a friendship after their brief, but riveting scenes together.
As for what’s next, General Hospital spoilers say Anna (Finola Hughes) will eventually discover Peter is Heinrik’s alias. There’s a good chance Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) story was completely bogus. Anna may indeed be Peter’s mother and if so, that’s sure to spark some interesting situations.
