Tonight on CBS their reboot of the classic series Magnum P.I. premieres with an all-new Monday, November 12, 2018, episode and we have your Magnum P.I.recap below. On tonight’s Magnum P.I. season 1 episode 8, “Die He Said,” as per the CBS synopsis, “A man dying of lymphoma hires Magnum to find his estranged, bone-marrow-compatible brother who turns out to need Magnum’s help as well. Also, Magnum’s case brings back haunted memories for the guys of a past SEAL team mission that went sideways.”

Magnum is trying to help Juliette find her necklace in the ocean while Kumu uses a drone. The two fight over what type of search they should conduct, a spiral or a grid. Magnum gets a call for a job and heads right over to meet the client. His new client has been diagnosed with cancer and he needs a bone marrow transplant. He wants Magnum to find his younger brother Bobby.
Magnum heads back home. He tells Juliette that if he helps her continue to find her necklace she needs to help him. Juliette gets him the information he needs. He heads to the post office and breaks into a PO Box connected to Bobby. His client checks in just as Magnum is reading Bobby’s mail. His client sends him a video show Bobby if he dies before locating him.
He heads to a local store where Bobby should be. The place is closed and something seems fishy. Magnum takes a look around and peers into a window. He sees Bobby tied to a chair, being beat by several guys. Magnum sets off an alarm and helps get Bobby free. They take off in the car. The men quickly emerge behind them, firing. Magnum loses them. Bobby admits he stole money from them. He has a family and he needs to get off the island. Magnum tells him he can help. But he is going to save his brother.
On their drive to find Bobby’s friend Devon who has the money, Magnum has a flashback to his days in the military when he needed to help a friend. When they arrive at Devon’s he is gone and so is the money. Bobby wants to cut and run. Magnum tells him there is a way out. He needs to stay around.
They figure out Devon has booked a flight. They head to the airport. Rick meets up with Rick. While they look for Devon, Magnum brings up how he thinks they let their old friend Brooks down. Rick disagrees. Magnum gets a call. The men found Bobby and they have him. They want Devon and the money.
Magnum calls Juliette and asks her to track down an old Plymouth he knows they were riding in. They track it down on a dead end road and find Devon dead in the trunk. They get a call from the men, they want to be in 30 minutes and they want the money. Magnum agrees but admits to Rick after he gets off the phone that he doesn’t have the money.
Magnum meets them and tells the leader of the men that one of their own killed Devon and made it look like Devon was trying to run so he could keep the money. They all begin to fight. Gunfire breaks out. Bobby is struck by a bullet. TC arrives in his helicopter and brings him to the hospital. The scene reminds Magnum of his friend. Bobby wants to see that video now.
Magnum, TC, and Rick wait. The doctors come in. They can see Bobby and Willy now. Both are in good spirits and it looks like Willy is going to be fine. They rushed to do the transplant.
At home, Magnum brings Juliette her necklace. She is in shock he found it. He wants to know who she got it from, but she isn’t telling. Magnum promises he will find out who it is from.
