Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are already refusing to spoil their royal baby. As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that suggests the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to do everything they can to make sure that their future bundle of joy will grow up to be well grounded, despite the fact that he or she will be raised behind palace doors.
In other words, Meghan doesn’t want to raise her kids the same way her sister-in-law Kate Middleton raises her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
According to Us Weekly, Meghan Markle wants her future children to have a normal childhood and lifestyle or at least one that is very different than what Prince George, Princess Charlotte and 6-month-old Prince Louis have today. Royal contributor Omid Scobie told the publication that Meghan will take a rather drastic approach to how she will raise her royal children.
Meghan Markle wants them to know what hard work means and of course, experience all of the things that she has done as a child herself. He said, “Meghan will take her kids on a subway. They’ll have chores, and jobs one day. They won’t be spoiled.”
Many royal observers aren’t surprised that Meghan Markle wants to be a different kind of mother compared to Kate Middleton. After all, Meghan grew up in a middle-class family in California. The Duchess claims that she worked odd jobs to help pay for her University education and helped support herself during her earlier years in Hollywood.
Meghan’s parents were divorced and while she did have a comfortable childhood and a solid education, Kate Middleton lived a far more luxurious lifestyle before she married Prince William. For royal critics it will be interesting to see how Meghan Markle’s parenting will differ from Kate Middleton’s and whether or not it will bring the two royals closer together or further apart.
Of course, time will only tell what kind of parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be in the future. The royal couple have not announced their due date, although Meghan is expected to give birth sometime in the Spring of 2019. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the report.
